“What we’ve learned along the way cannot be a secret. Sharing knowledge is vital.”

Reba Hollingsworth is a TV news anchor and entrepreneur based in Richmond, Virginia. Reba is now proud to add author to her title. Reba is a co-author of Lipstick and Legacies, released in late September.  The book is a collaborative project written by six influential women in business. Reba co-authored the book with Holly Byrd Miller, Julie Hill, Catina Jones, Grace Washington, and Tanya Battle. Daphne Maxwell Reid wrote the forward. “I share how my TV journey and personal losses have led me down the road of entrepreneurship,” Reba explains. “Lipstick and Legacies will serve as a resource for aspiring entrepreneurs.” Reba was inspired to join this project because of her belief that sharing one’s experience and expertise is essential in helping others succeed, specifically Black business owners. “What we’ve learned along the way cannot be a secret,” she explains. “Sharing knowledge is vital.”

Reba is also the creator of AHA Wrap and Tri V3rsa Bags. The AHA Wrap is a leg wrap catered to women in media and public speaking. The AHA Wrap is a leg wrap for women to attach their wireless microphones when wearing a dress. The Tri V3rsa Bag is a 3-in-1 multi-use messenger bag. In Reba’s 25-plus years of experience as a TV news journalist, she was frustrated attaching her own microphone and was inspired to create a solution. She was also having trouble finding a bag that would carry her reporter notebooks, lunch bag, makeup bag, and extra shoes while she was out in the field covering news stories. “Instead of wishing for these products to become available on the market, I created them for the market on my own,’ Reba says. “I turned a simple idea into a full-fledged business. My mission is to make people’s lives just a bit easier.”

Reba is always thinking about what is next. “I’m constantly brainstorming on the next product to create,” she says. For now, my focus is on growing and expanding my current product mix. I’m only getting started. This is the best journey I’ve ever been on!”
